Why does the Hoyts site not work properly on my system?
The Hoyts web site has been designed and built for Internet Explorer (version 4.0 and above) and Netscape Navigator (version 6 and above) with a minimum screen resolution of 800x600 pixels. While every attempt has been made to ensure the site works consistently across browsers and platforms without any degradation in appearance or functionality, there are variations in different browsers and operating systems which will affect the way the site is displayed. If you are experiencing problems we recommend you upgrade to the latest version of your favourite web browser, and ensure that JavaScript and Cookies are enabled.

What does it mean when a movie is advertised as 'No Free Offers / No Discount Offers'?
Some movies will be advertised in the first weeks of release as No Free Offers Accepted, No Discount Offers Accepted or No Free or Discount Offers Accepted. During this period complimentary passes or price based discount coupons issued by Hoyts cannot be used. After several weeks of release this restriction is often removed and Free or Discount Offers can be used.

Why does a movie not start at the advertised time?
The advertised time indicates the commencement of the actual 'session' rather than the main feature. This gives cinemas the opportunity to present advertising and 'trailers' for upcoming films to keep our patrons informed of upcoming releases. It also ensures that patrons can secure their tickets, refreshments and seats before the main feature starts.

What age restrictions are placed on Child and Senior tickets?
A child ticket is restricted for use for those aged 15 years and under. A senior ticket is restricted for use for those aged 65 years of age and over with proof of age.

Are Hoyts Supersavers valid everywhere?
