Thank God Kate Beckensale is back to the series as Selene and carrying on from the events of Underworld:
Evolution. The awful Rise of the Lycans is forgotten as the story moves onto 12 years in the future.
The series needed a boost to recover from the 3rd outing in the form of Selene's daughter who is just like her daddy half vampire, half vampire.
The only gripe I have with the movie is no Scott Speedman and my only hope is that he will be back for the 5th movie.
Awakening is a returned to form for the series and is as good as the 1st and 2nd.Critics have panned it as they have done with all the Underworld series. Why they keep making more is for the fans who keep going to the movies.Well done and bring on the next one.

Not bad, good action, a bit too much jumping around early on in the film to try establish the background.
Almost no reference to the older films so its just milking the Underworld name. Won't bother about the next one, Underworld: Nodding off.
