    PROMOTION SUMMARY

    HOYTS (the “Promoter”) together with Universal Pictures International New Zealand Limited (the “Sponsor” or “UPINZ”), is giving audiences the chance to win a double pass to the New Zealand premiere for Lord Of The Rings: The War Of The Rohirrim, on Tuesday 10th December (the “Promotion”).

     

    ELIGIBILITY

    To be eligible to enter the Promotion and win the Prize, participants must be:

    1. 18 years old or older;
    2. a New Zealand resident;
    3. be able to travel to Hamilton and Matamata Tuesday 10th December, timings TBA based on winner’s location;
    4. be eligible under the Promoter’s Standard Promotion or Competition Rules below.

     

    PROMOTION PERIOD

    The competition opens on 22/11/24 at 5pm closes 11:59pm NZDT, 01/12/24 (the “Promotion Period”). 

    HOW TO ENTER

    • For your entry to be considered you will need to follow @hoytsnewzealand on Facebook, tag a friend in the comments, and answer the question in 25 words or less. Entrant may enter the Promotion only once during the Promotion Period. All duplicate entries will be void.

     

    PRIZE

    There is one Grand Prize of tickets for two to attend the New Zealand Premiere of The Lord Of The Rings: The War Of The Rohirrim and exclusive celebration event at Hobbiton™ Movie Set. Renowned Filmmakers and Voice Talent will be attending this very special event.

    • This premiere and celebration event will take place on Tuesday 10th December (winner and guest must be available all day on this day).
    • Premiere to be held at Hoyts Te Awa Hamilton, followed straight after by a Celebration Event at the Hobbiton™ Movie Set.
    • Winner and guest will be treated to a ‘Highlights Tour’ of Hobbiton™ Movie Set followed by Red Carpet Arrivals with Talent and Filmmakers, Food, Entertainment and more.
    • Winner and guest will have the option to self-drive or to opt-in to get the bus from Auckland CBD. The bus opt-in provides complimentary transport for:
    1. Auckland CBD to Hoyts Te Awa Hamilton
    2. Hoyts Te Awa Hamilton to Hobbiton™ Movie Set Matamata
    3. Hobbiton™ Movie Set return to Auckland CBD
    • Bus transport is a full opt in option, guests are not able to select individual bus routes.
    • This is a highly anticipated event with limited space available. If you are unable to attend both the Premiere Screening at Hoyts Te Awa and the Celebration Event at Hobbiton™ Movie Set, we ask that you please decline on this occasion, to allow others to enjoy the full experience.
    • Any guest under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over. Winner is responsible for ensuring their guest is of a suitable age to view the film at the premiere. Winner and guest must behave appropriately at all times. Any inappropriate behaviour will result in the winner and guest being asked to leave and the remainder of the prize being forfeited. 
    • Further detail and FAQ around the event will be provided direct to the winners.
    • Prizes must be taken as offered and cannot be exchanged for cash.

     

    WINNING THE PRIZE

    • At the end of the Promotion Period, one winner will be drawn from all eligible entries. The winner will be chosen by most creative answer.
    • The winner will be notified by a comment on Facebook from @hoytsnewzealand.
    • If the prize is not claimed within 24 hours of notification, the prize will be forfeited and may be awarded to an alternate winner.
    • All expenses not expressly included in the Prize are the responsibility of the winner and their travel companion.
    • The Prize is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash.
    • The premiere tickets are provided by and in association with UPINZ for the purposes of marketing and licensing for the movie Lord Of The Rings: The War Of The Rohirrim.

     

    OTHER

    • Prizes may be subject to additional terms and conditions imposed by a third party (for example, terms of entry of the cinema, third party service providers and other venues).
    • Admission must be taken as offered and are not exchangeable, transferable, or redeemable for cash.
    • Attendees agree not to use any device with recording capability inside the cinema. The screening will be monitored for unauthorized recording. Unauthorized recording will be reported to law enforcement and may subject the pass/ticket holder to criminal and civil liability. If the winner or any of their guests attempt to use a recording device, the winner or their guests consent to immediate removal from the theatre and forfeiture of the device and its contents.
    • Prizes are provided for Promotional use only. Sale, duplication, other transfer of this material is strictly prohibited. Please note the screening will be monitored at all times by security personnel.
    • These terms and conditions may be amended and the Promotion terminated at any time by the Promoter- In the unlikely event of cancellation of the prize event, the Promoter and Sponsor will endeavour to provide an alternative prize of similar value.
    • The Promoter’s decisions on all entry and promotion matters are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
    • Any entry that the Promoter reasonably suspects (in its sole discretion) has involved or may involve fraud, bugs, tampering, hacking, or any other unauthorised intervention will be null and void.
    • Participants grant HOYTS permission to use their name, photograph, voice and film recordings in which they appear, in connection with the Promotion and for future promotion and marketing purposes and waive any claims to royalty, right or remuneration for such use.
    • The Promoter will collect and hold personal information provided by you when you enter this Promotion, for the purposes of this Promotion and for future promotional purposes. If you are a winner, the Promoter may pass your personal information to third parties, including the Sponsor (or its promotions agency Moving Light Communications) for the purpose of prize fulfillment. Failure to provide personal information when requested may disqualify you from entering the Promotion or being able to receive a prize. All personal information provided to the Promoter will be held and used in accordance with the Promoter’s privacy policy. You have the right to request access to and correction of your personal information (where such information is readily retrievable) by contacting the Promoter.

     

    UNIVERSAL PICTURES INTERNATIONAL NZ (UPNZ)

    • ‘The Sponsor is Universal Pictures International New Zealand Limited (company number 8129170) of Site 3, 30 St Benedicts Street, Newton, Auckland, 1010, New Zealand.
    • The Promoter’s employees, flatmates and immediate family are not eligible to enter.
    • Immediate Families’ include spouses, grandparents, parents, children, and grandchildren, whether by marriage, past marriages, remarriage, adoption, co-habitation or other family extension.
    • To the fullest extent permitted by law the Sponsor (and all companies in the Universal Pictures group) will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) or for personal injury as a result of Promotion entry or winning the prize.
    • Where the Prize is to be supplied by an entity outside the Sponsor’s control and that entity fails, for whatever reason, to supply the prize, the Promoter has no responsibility for the provision of the Prize and is not obliged to provide an alternative Prize or to take legal action to require the Prize supplier to provide the Prize.
